Description

Geranium & Cow Parsley Glass Tea Light Holder

This delicately decorated geranium & cow parsley glass tea light holder would take pride of place on any sideboard, or centre stage on a dining room table. The holder measures approximately 12 centimetres in diameter and has been decorated with handpicked and pressed flowers and foliage from the Cotswolds. The leaves and flowers are slightly burgundy in colour, which gives it an autumnal feel. The tea light holder comes complete with a tea light candle, which sits perfectly in the top of the bauble.

The Flowers & Foliage

The flowers and foliage used to decorate this glass bauble tea light holder are geranium leaves and cow parsley flowers. Their botanical names are geranium robertianum (geranium) and anthriscus sylvestris (cow parsley). The Geranium plant, also known as herb robert, has tiny pink crane’s bill like flowers and has soft, delicate, lace like leaves. It grows in shaded areas of the garden, in rocky places and along paths. You will see it growing from spring right through until September. Cow parsley can be seen from April until June growing along verges, in grassy areas and fields.
