This spooky wood carved Halloween pumpkin has been carved from pine wood. To bring out the grain the wood has been burnt using a Japanese technic called shou sugi ban. This is a method of preserving wood by charring it with fire. With its haunting face the wood carved Halloween pumpkin has been coloured with orange acrylic paint, black for it’s scary eyes and a green stork. To finish, this piece has then been coated with a clear coat of lacquer.
This fabulous Halloween decoration made from reclaimed wood would look amazing in the window, on display on a book shelf or amongst some green plant foliage.
The decorative carved pumpkin measures approximately 16.5 cm’s across by 19.5 cm’s tall and 4.5 cm’s thick.
